iA Writer
Plain-text markdown editor with almost nothing on screen
Markdown editing with a typeface, a cursor and very little else on screen. Files stay as plain text on disk, so any other editor can open the same writing. One distinctive feature is a syntax mode that grays out everything except one part of speech, which some writers use to find the adverbs they have been leaning on. Sold once per platform rather than by subscription.
