Branches grow out from a central idea. An outline sits alongside the map, so the same material reads either way. Nodes take tasks, tags, notes, images and stickers, and a finished map exports as text, OPML, an image or items in a task manager. MindNode suits the messy stage of thinking: shaping a talk, splitting a project into parts, laying out options before the writing starts.
