Leadership here is open to anyone willing to connect a group of people and point them at something, and the internet made forming such groups nearly free. Godin separates leaders from managers. Managers work through authority. Leaders create movement that people choose to join. Chapters are very short, closer to blog posts than essays, which suits the argument. Written in 2008, it described the factions and fandoms of online culture years before most organizations noticed them.
