Gear$$$Expensive: Several hundred dollars and up.reMarkable

reMarkable

E ink tablet you write on with a stylus

A writing tablet with an E ink screen and a stylus, closer to paper than to a laptop. You never run out of pages, and the handwriting can be searched and synced in a way a paper notebook cannot. There is no browser and no messaging app on it, which is most of the point.

  • Computer science professor · author of Deep Work

Paper is still his default, but he said he had recently been messing around with a reMarkable, the E ink writing tablet. His description: like a Kindle you can write on, with pages that do not run out.
