No fried food or artificial sugar

Dropping fried food, artificial sweeteners and artificial drinks, at least while competing

Nothing fried, no artificially sweetened drinks and no artificial sugars, with fruit sugar still allowed. That is the whole rule. Athletes apply it hardest in season, when the body is under the most load and recovery matters most, then loosen it in the off-season. It is easy to follow because it names only a handful of things to avoid. Whether the sweetener ban does anything is contested; cutting fried food and sugary drinks is uncontroversial.
