Weekly cheat meal
Six days of measured eating, then one planned meal with nothing off the menu
One meal a week, on a fixed day, eaten without counting anything. The other six days stay strict, and people who eat this way describe the meal as a pressure valve that makes the rest of the week easier to hold, and as a reward earned rather than stolen. Size varies wildly, from a burger and fries to spreads running into thousands of calories. The routine is the point, not the quantity.

Sunday is cheat meal day. By 2018 CNBC could catalog the Instagram posts: plates of sushi at 1 a.m., chocolate chip banana pancakes with syrup and peanut butter, cookies with peanut butter, a turkey sub and brownies. He has said he makes his cheat meals epic because everyone works hard and only lives once, and he tells followers not to cheat themselves.
