The Quick and the Dead
A short kettlebell power protocol built on swings, snatches and generous rest
Two exercises, the swing and the snatch, done in five-rep bursts against a timer with more rest than work. Sessions last around a quarter of an hour and are meant to finish with energy left over, because the target is power output and aerobic recovery rather than accumulated fatigue. The first half of the book explains the physiology, in particular why repeatedly flooding muscle with acid is a poor trade; the second half lays out the plans.

The excerpt he published from the book makes acid the villain: it blunts both tension and relaxation, and power drops hardest of all, by up to half in a thirty second all-out sprint. Leave metcons, exhaustion and soreness to prey, is how he closes it.
