Zwift

Indoor cycling app where riders train and race on virtual courses

A subscription app that turns an indoor trainer into a game. Power output moves your avatar around virtual worlds, and riders race there in divisions set by watts per kilogram. Structured workouts, group rides and scheduled races are all built in. It only works with equipment that reports power, which is where most of the cost sits.

  • Coach and IFBB pro · Harder Than Last Time

Bike racing took over after he stepped back from bodybuilding. He told Mike Matthews he races on Zwift, is always on the bike and had raced the day before. Cycling gives him something he can still improve at: he says he is far weaker than he was, and that he had to find that satisfaction somewhere other than his physique.

Sports tech reviewer · DC Rainmaker

Pays for Zwift himself, alongside TrainerRoad, Peloton and several other platforms he keeps for testing. Most of his indoor riding runs on Zwift or TrainerRoad.
