The Daniel Plan
A church-based health program written with Rick Warren and Mark Hyman
Rick Warren started the program at his church, then brought in Mark Hyman and Daniel Amen to build out the health side. Five words organize the whole thing: faith, food, fitness, focus and friends, with small groups as the delivery mechanism. Recipes, meal guidance and simple movement plans sit next to the spiritual material. It went to number one on the New York Times list and the program has since run in thousands of congregations worldwide. Anyone outside a church can use the food and fitness half on its own.
